A verified user is a member who has registered an account with us, and submitted a copy of their IC or driving license to us for further verification.

All verified users will have a special icon ()attached to their User ID in all their trading activities. This serves to tell members that they have been verified by lelong.com.my and are serious about trading with other members.

Members with Normal status
Normal registered users who sign up to use Lelong.com.my free services are still relatively anonymous, even though we do have their ISP e-mail address and contact details. Other details have still need to be verified - Full name, IC number, contact number, and other details.

How do I become a Verified Member ??

It's so easy. Just 5 steps you will become a verified member.
Step 1. Registered as normal member
Step 2. Submit your IC / License via e-mail (verify@lelong.com.my) or fax 03-80608528

We only accept very clear fax copies, try lowering your photostat tone level before making the copy of your IC, and please do cross them, if possible.

If your registered information is incomplete or in error, please include the corrected info with the fax

Step 3. Make payment of RM10.00 via Maybank2u.com bill payment services, check or money order or in person from our office.
Step 4. We will then conduct our verification via your mobile phone and your home or office contact. (Please do not contact us, verification requires us to contact you.)
Step 5. As long as we confirm receiving payment (check cleared, online transfer confirmed by bank, etc), your account will then be upgraded.


What benefits do I derive from becoming a Verified Member ?
All members can:-

• Bid for normal, unrestricted auctions. Most sellers allow non-verified members to bid for their auctions while some for security reasons choose to allow bids from only verified members.
• Post as many of their items for auction or sale. However, you are not allowed to have multiple sale postings of the same item. Please use one posting, stating the quantity available.
• Post ads for wanted items
• Post eClassifieds ads
• Participate in our Lelong Forum

However, Verified Members will additionally benefit from the following:-

• Added security - As a verified member, you are given a higher status than normal members. Other traders will want to trade with you, as they know you are an authenticated Lelong member.
• Exclusive auction - Once you are verified, you will be given the choice to deal only with other verified members. This will eliminate bidders who are not serious and with whom you may not be able to reach.
• Icon attachment - Each time your user ID is displayed, a special icon ()will indicate that you have been authenticated.
• Added highlight options - You can feature your posting title in bold.
• Priority Customer Support - You can reach us 24 hours a day on a dedicated mobile phone.
• Special Auctions - When special auctions are held by Lelong.com.my with premium products, bidding will be reserved only for verified members.
• Priority Fraud Checking - In the event of fraud, we will endeavor to track down and resolve all cases in the shortest time possible. All members are required to be verified before receiving any assistance.
