Tillandsia Victoria is a hybrid between T. ionantha and T. brachycaulos. made in the 1960s by Joe Carrone of New Orleans and it was named for International Bromeliad Society pioneer and co-founder, Victoria Padilla. This is one of the first Tilly hybrids. It grows to look like a monstrous T. ionantha with somewhat wider, softer leaves that, for some reason, blush toward orange when in bloom.
