Q: How does it work?
This USB WiFi adapter connects to the USB port on your PC or Apple computer. It replaces the low power internal WiFi card and low efficiency antenna in the computer. It requires the card driver to be installed off the included CD or web download. (Plug & Play for Linux) The internal wifi adapter in your computer would be turned off or disabled while this USB external WiFi card is in use.
Q: What connections have to be made?
The USB adapter simply connects to your USB port, and then an antenna connects to the SMA-RP female connector on the Wi-Fi card. The card is powered by the USB port and requires no external power sources. This Alfa card includes a mini 5dBi rubber antenna so it will work when you get it and there is nothing else to buy.
Q: What antennas will fit it?
