Build Cities, Shape a World

As a virtual mayor, find the right balance between economic development of your cities, attractiveness, transportation (road traffic, bus, metro...), pollution, social services, taxes, and even leisure activities.

Create a proper economic development by setting up trade between cities. You can specialize certain cities in specific areas to fill in the needs of the others. This will ensure large-scale financial success and allow you to develop an increasingly complex network of cities.

New Tax System

The tax system will let all virtual mayors, both newbies as well as experienced, adjust the tax level, including individual and local business taxes. In a self sufficient global economy, with fluctuating prices and citizens' needs, the tax management system will enable everyone to refine its city administration.

Trophy System

Finally, Cities XL 2012 also includes a Trophy system. Your progress as mayor includes many various goals to reach regarding your citizens' needs, the buildings and the transportation that you choose, and even the resources that you share. With more than 200 Trophies to unlock, you will need all the management skills you have to obtain numerous rewards, such as new constructions.
