An
inverter converts the 12volt DC supply from your car into 220 volt AC,
so that you can still plug in your mains-powered
items even when you have ventured far off the grid.
This
compact, lightweight version is rated for devices up to 75 Watts,
suitable as a supply for mobile phone chargers, palm top computers and
handheld entertainment devices.
It plugs into
a standard cigar lighter socket and has spiral cable for easy placement
and storage.
Approximate Measurement: 10cm x 5.5cm x 3.5cm.

Remarks:
The input power required, in Watts, is
usually written on the plug or the device itself. Some devices do not
list the power rating in term of Watt, we can
easily convert it with the other output ratings with the following
formula:
Voltage (in V) x
Current (in Ampere - A)
For example if the power requirement of a specific device is 12VDC
5.0A, translates into Wattage would be 60W.
