Hi. This system come with a sensor, mean it only turn on when sensed moving objects at night like cat, dog, human etc. Day time will not on. The light can last 6-7 hours contantly when full charged. However, since it only light when sensed objects, it last much longer than that. It also depend on how long u adjust the light to be turned on when objects sensed. It can be adjusted from 30 second to 3 minute lighting time when object sensed. Charging time by solar is 7-8 hours when battery exhauted
