GpsGate Server - GPS tracking made easy
GpsGate Server can be used to track people, vehicles and
objects. It is a tracking platform designed with today's Internet technologies
in mind.
Connect almost anything with a GPS + Internet connection;
mobile phones, Pocket PC, Windows laptops and tracking "blackbox" devices. View
groups of objects on a map in a browser. Display and analyze track history and
much more.
GpsGate Server uses modern Internet technologies such as
AJAX, XML/JSON, .NET, MySQL, MS SQL. It is designed to work
stand alone or as an integral part of a bigger system.

GpsGate Server has open APIs that allow for customization and integration with
other applications both on server and client side. And to integrate new tracking
devices. This makes GpsGate Server particularly suited for customers who want to
have complete control over their tracking implementation or want to offer their
own tracking service.
System requirements: .NET 2.0, MySQL 4.1 (or later) or MS SQL Server
2000/2005, Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista
GpsGate is available for both Windows and Pocket PC.

* Share your GPS using the Wizard (Windows or Pocket PC)
* Record GPS data to a log file.
* Replay log file in Google Earth.
* Manual GPS setup.
* Simulate a GPS.
I made some fast testing :-) and found some minor issues:
-> Every position uploaded get the same time stamp.
-> You request a new TrackRecorder ID correctly, but you don't
include it when you upload the positions.
-> I would also consider using the _SaveTrackData command rather
than _SendPosition, _SaveTrackData is intended for uploading tracks
the way you do. It is more efficient, and will not affect the
current position of the user.
-> Use the name of your application in the FRVER sentence you send
to the server.

Share, simulate and log the GPS
Share - GpsGate lets you share one GPS between
several applications. GpsGate can create any number of virtual
serial ports which most NMEA enabled GPS applications can connect
to.
Simulator - Define a set of waypoints and GpsGate will simulate a
GPS travelling between those waypoints.
Logger - Log and playback real time GPS data. Save real time
scenarios to be used for analysis, demonstration or development
back in the office.
