After having some trouble with the picture on my DirecTV, I decided to try replacing the cables. It was probably the best decision I could have made.

If you've got a lot of things connected in a home theater environment, then you probably know how the signal from some wires can somehow cross over to the other wires close by, and cause little zig-zag lines on your television set or static in the sound. Quite annoying, and fairly common with the cheap free-in-the-box wires, it seems.

These cables from Monster not only improved my picture and sound, but I was impressed at how thick and strong they were. They just blow the cheap wires out of the water if you compare them side-by-side. The high quality design, gold plated connectors, and double shielded coatings work wonders in preventing radio interference and static from other wires and sources. There really is a difference, and it shows. Yet another great product from Monster Cable.

Someone recommended checking out the J2HCAMSM6 which is the same as this product but twice as long and $10 less. If the extra length does not interest you, there is a better option.

For the same price as this excellent product, you can buy an even better Monster Cable, model number I203ASVP1M POD 203. It is an all-in-one cable with even better materials and will help minimize tangled wires. The easiest way to find it is to click on the "high performance connection kits" link while browsing the Monster Cable "audio-video hook-up kits." Check it out.

look up the "Monster Cable J2 HCAM SM-6 Hi-8/S-VHS" kit. Although it is titled for camcorders, it has the Super Video 2 (6 ft). Trust me on this one... I went and looked at the packages to compare. You can also look up the products on the Monster Cable homepage. Enjoy!

  I bought this cable for my analog Toshiba 20Af44 TV. I am connected from my Cable box (Scientific Atlanta 4200) to my S-video input. Let me tell you what a difference this cable makes. My digital signal channels are clear crisp, ghost free, and the colors jump off the TV, even though it's not HDTV it's 10 times better than regular analog TV... almost looks Digital. Do yourself a favor and pick up this cable. If you are still using RF for an input in your TV, it will make a great impact on your TV viewing experience!

  I recently helped some friends of mine move into their new home. They needed some desperate help with the rats nest of cables attached to the system. Not having any S Video cables hooked into their system, I brought extra ones of mine over and hooked all his equiptment up to achieve the best picture. His old video cables were the cheap originals that came with the equiptment. They were amazed at how the colors seemed to pop a little more when watching DVDs and just how clean the picture appeared. I let them keep the cables since they were extras that I wasn't using and created another "Monster". Not the biggest trick around but definitely a treat for my friends.

  After purchasing a 32 inch Sony, I went to my local London Drugs store with the thought of buying component video cables. I was advised that I should spend at least 10% of the cost of my Televisin on the cables. I purchased the recommended Monster 2 cables and tried them out. There was a noticeable difference from the cheap composite cables I was using. These were the ones that came with my Sony DVD. Also, when my digital cable box was delivered by the Cable girl, she had used a coaxial cable instead of the composite cables since my old TV had only one set of composite inputs which were already taken up by my VCR. I therefore went back to the store and purchased a Monster 2 S - video cable. What a difference. I'm sold on Monster cables and will advise anyone wanting the best in Video and Audio to consider Monsters.
