If you want a slice of Audio Nirvana, you are in the right place! .   FOR THOSE WANTING TOP CLASS SOUND. .                                                                                         Naim NAC 12s — ‘Classic’ phono stage Pre-amplifier. . . Classic (mid 1970s) piece of Hi-Fi that is still in excellent+++ condition! A fantastic sounding pre-amp which was beautifully designed and engineered in the 70s. ! . In the 1970s the main audio source was from the turntable or record player, hence if someone is looking for a good and reliable phono stage pre-amp to hook up a turntable unit, this NAC 12s is the way to go. . . According to Naim's Customer Relations Manager, Steven Hopkins, the "low noise" MC phono boards fitted by Naim engineers in this model is the Type S, which is highly desirable. . Picture on top shows the MC phono boards inside the unit. . . There's hardly any major marks on it. Magnificent pre-amplifier from Naim providing the ultimate in pace, rhythm and timing (PRaT). . . NAC 12s Serial No: 1021   The first Naim pre-amplifier, the NAC 12s, was sold in 1974 (discontinued 1980). . This ‘vintage’ pre-amp from Naim Audio U.K. has been used as part of a second system for the last 6 years and has been used less and less frequently by a British owner. This pre-amp was imported from the UK. . . It has performed flawlessly throughout. .           Naim's slogan is "World class sound...". A phrase that has always been associated with all Naim hi-fi equipment. You can never go wrong if you opt for Naim Audio product. . . This is a fantastic pre-amp from Naim, able to reproduce music as part of a high fidelity music system. . . .     Musically (according to the British owner), the combination of this NAC 12s pre-amp unit and a NAP 160 power amp (picture on left, also for sale in separate advert here) is "exhilarating". . There is an infectious verve and swing about it that suits all kinds of music, but in particular jazz. Instruments and singers have tremendous presence, appearing almost physical. The combination easily outperforms both the Naim NAITs 1 and 3 integrated amps which he also used to own, digging up significantly more detail and showing superior insight. It's also gutsier when it comes to driving different speakers. . . That explains why thousands of audiophiles all over the world got hook on to Naim audio products, especially when they listen to the combination of NAC 12s pre-amp and NAP 160 power amp.
