NAS Operation
NAS Introduction
NAS full English name is Network Attached Storage. It is a kind of data center integrating the distributed, independent data for a large centralized management, so that the techniques for accessing different hosts and application servers. According to the literal simple introduce, it is a device with data storage function which connecting with the network, also known as” network storage”.
The NAS function of NAS high definition V8 based on TCP/IP networking protocol, using WEB management interface through a cable to achieve sharing the storing file and data.

NAS Function Operation
1. Please confirm the player right network connection before using the NAS. Enter system setting----advanced, to check current player’s network address. If there is no available IP addresses currently display, it is need to enter system setting------network-------Cable/Wireless set to get the right IP address.
2. Connect the COMPUTER or Ipad to the same network, open IE browser, and enter player’s IP address into address bar to enter the login interface of NAS management center. Default account: admin, password: admin, As shown below:

3. After entered the account and password, click ”Enter” key to enter the NAS management center’s main interface

NAS detailed function introduction
The main functions of NAS of NAS high definition V8, user management, file management, network management, remote controller and connecting with our several modules.
1. User Management:
User management includes adding user and permission management two parts. In the adding user module, the user can add new user and set the corresponding write and read permission.
Note: Read is download and write is upload permission.

Permission management module can modify the user’s write and read permission and password.
2. File Management:
File management can upload the COMPUTER data into the storage device of the player in the same network, also can download the files in the player to the COMPUTER or delete.

Return: Click the Parent Directory on the top.
Download: Right-click the file name for saving as another, or as the download tool.
Upload: look through to select computer files, click upload.
3. Network Management
Network management includes: Samba management, FTP management, DDNS management, easyMule management four parts.
A. Samba Management: Click the "Start / Stop" key corresponding to the on and off of Samba service, when choose to open, click the network connected URL address can directly enter the directory of provided samba service.

B. FTP Management
FTP is the short name of File Transfer Protocol, while the Chinese short name as "Interfax agreement", for two-way transmission of the control file on the internet. At the same time, it is an application. User can use it to connect his computer with all the servers which run FTP protocol to access a large number of processes and information on the servers in the worldwide. It is very convenient to use this function in NAS high definition V8, just open the FTP service, and click the FTP URL link address to use. Enter the FTP service default user: admin Password: admin

C. DDNS management
DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name Server) is the acronym for Dynamic Domain Name Service! DDNS maps user’s dynamic IP address to a fixed domain name resolution services, each time the user connecting to the network, the client program will transmit the dynamic IP address on the host to service program on the provider’s host, the server program is responsible for providing dynamic DNS services and achieving dynamic domain name resolution. That means the DDNS captures each time changed IP address, and corresponds with the domain name, so that the other Internet users can communicate through the domain name.
The object which dynamic domain name serviced means the IP is dynamic, and changeable. Ordinary DNS is based on the static IP, there may be one many or many to many, but the IP are fixed one or many. However, the IP of DDNS is changeable, and random. DDNS management interface as follow:

When using DDNS function, it is firstly need your router supports DDNS function, the secondly request you to register a user name and password and apply a dynamic domain name on the website which supports dynamic domain name resolution, such as peanut shells or Comay network and etc.
Filling the user name and password in the corresponding option of router DDNS module, and then from the router as port to map on an IP. User can connect his IP with all the servers around the world with it, and to access to a large number of server processes and information.

The port mapping method:
Enter the forwarding setting, which is the port mapping setting, following the icon to set (different servers, open a different ports)

D: EasyMule Download Manager
NAS high definition V8 provides a new way to download, easyMule. It is completely free and open source code P2P downloading and sharing software.
Using method:
Click easyMule management, access to easyMule download settings interface.

After choosing well the file download path, switches and other property settings, click "Save settings"
Note: Use easyMule can also add BT seeds to download. Click "Browse" to select the BT seed in the computer, and then click the "Upload seed and open download" to download.
After finish "Save Settings", it will access to easyMule download operation interface.

The normal download process: firstly, search for file. Enter the file name, such as Guan Yunchang, click "Search" to search the download file

Select "Search Results", easyMule software will list all effective download links relevant to "Guan Yunchang", user can select a file to download according to his needs.

User can find the Downloaded file in the "Download" Management. In the "Download" Management, user can set some parameters for downloading.
Other easyMule download functions, users can use them according to his needs.
E: Remote Controller
WEB remote controller can be used as a remotely operated vehicle to operate the player.
