No bro, that need another type of converter, which we have discontinued because nowadays very seldom people still use IDE HDD.

I am thinking of using a SATA HD as the C drive on my IDE computer.If I use this converter,will the converter be too hot and not last very long?Should I just use an IDE HD for longer lasting?TQ

Hi bro, it won't generate any excessive heat to damage anything. But of course, if you can have a suitable IDE HDD, it would be better for space saving purpose.

Yes, this converter can let you to use the SATA HDD as both boot disk and data disk on PATA system.
