A Component Video   connection is recommended due to its excellent color separation and detail when compared to Composite or S-Video.

Component Video  offers amazing performance, but it requires a cable that can carry three (3) high definition RED, BLUE & GREEN video signals without interference.

.

 In the composite video system, the black-and-white picture signal (or luminosity signal) is combined with the color signal in a single transmission, which your TV or monitor must separate on its own.

  With S-Video, the black-and-white picture signal is conveyed separately from the color information. While S-Video is good, Component Video provides a significant upgrade. The two channels of color information with component video compared to S-Video's single color channel deliver sharper, un-smeared, clearly defined colors.

Note that in order to take advantage of the benefits of the Component Video system, your TV and source components (eg. DVD Player) need to have component video input/output connection terminals, i.e. the RED, BLUE & GREEN colour RCA jacks at the back of the TV, and at the back of the DVD Player.

  ' WHAT A BLESSING THIS CABLE HAS BEEN. '
  Strengths:	The picture is clear, crisp, detailed, colour is vibrant and the depth of the picture is outstanding.This cable also gets the Denon 2910 to play back in all the formats i.e. 420, 720 and 1080; something the digital Chord Companys Silver Plus HDMI cable does not appear to do.
  Weaknesses:	None that i can think of, however the Denon 2910 is something of question in my opinion, but that’s another story.
  Overall:	From my experience if you are thinking of buying a digital cable – don’t bother, if you already have a digital cable then you should shove it on the spare pile or sell it on e-bay and buy the Supra Av3 Component, connect it up and sit back and enjoy the ride.
