Sea-Dweller DEEPSEA.

At the BaselWorld watch and jewellery show 2008, Rolex introduced an updated Sea-Dweller model, named the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Sea-Dweller DEEPSEA. The first major feature of the innovative system is the high-performance ring that is set inside the middle case between the crystal and the case back. The ring is produced from the nitrogen-alloyed stainless steel. It allows the watch to resists the pressure exerted by water on the crystal and the case back. The middle case is produced from 904L steel. Another important component of the RINGLOCK SYSTEM. Finally, the system features the case back made of a titanium alloy, a stainless material of extreme resistance. The Rolex Sea-Dweller DEEPSEA is complemented by a solid 904L steel bracelet. The wearer of the watch will be able to adjust the length of the bracelet for wear the timepiece over a diving suit up to 7 mm thick thanks to a double extension system that includes Fliplock extension links and the new GLIDELOCK clasp.
