USB Extension Cable
With Switch For iPad
- Compatible with
iPhones and iPods with standard Apple dock connector.
Lots
of people are complaining
that their iPads are not charging when plugged into computer’s USB
port. The battery indicator in the upper right corner displays “Not
Charging". However, the iPad still syncs. It’s not a glitch, this is
because iPad needs a high-power USB 2.0 port to charge, which are less
common amongst older computers
This
uniquely designed cable extension will enable the normal ipad USB cable
to syncs and charges your iPad / iPad
2 right on your computer's USB port - utilizing the switch on
the extension
cable to choose between 'Data' (for sync) or 'Charger'.
This
cable extension does NOT support "hot-switch", you
have to disconnect the cable from USB port, switch to the right
function before continue. For
example, if iPad is in Data/Sync mode, the iPad will not start charging
if you switch to 'Charger' mode without disconnecting the cable from
USB port. You have to disconnect the cable from the USB port
(or iPad side), perform the switch, and then reconnect it to
start
charging your iPad
Sequence to perform charging function:
- Step 1: Connect the cable extension to normal iPad
USB cable, and 30Pin connector to the iPad's dock connector
- Step 2: Switch the button to the "Charger" side
- Step 3: Connect the USB to the PC or Notebook
Sequence to perform date transfer/sync function:
- Step 1: Connect the cable extension to normal iPad
USB cable, and 30Pin connector to the i Pad's dock connector
- Step 2: Switch the button to the "data" side
- Step 3: Connect the USB to the PC or Notebook
Cable extension total length: approximately 16cm.
This
cable extension also compatible with iPhones and iPods, and to be used
in the same operation manners as mentioned
above, the difference is, when in "Data" mode, the iPod and iPhone can
Sync and charge at the same time, while in charger mode, the
device won't sync, but it will be full charged faster.
