Some Acetone common uses include:

• 3D Printer Solvent
• Cleaner for electronics and its components
• Artistic agent to transfer printer toner image from one surface to another
• Printed mark or words remover (normally for wrongly printed paper)
• Key ingredient in paint remover (keep away from painted surfaces)
• Photographic films and plates casting  
• Nail glue or Nail Polish remover
• Removal of skin adhesive from netting of wigs & moustaches (make-up artists use)
• Paint thinner
• Solvent for UHU glue.
• Used as a solvent for cements in the leather and rubber industries
• Insecticides
• Fluorescent under UV light, the vapour can be used in fluid flow experiments as a flourescent tracer             
• Solvent for fats, oils, waxes, resins, rubber, plastics, lacquers, rubber cements.
• For biological experiment, it can be used for hardening and dehydrating tissues
