The Cabildo Floor Lamp designed for Artemide by Eric Solè is an elegant, sculptural piece that resembles an observing eye. The integrated LED light source emanates from within a pebble-shaped ring, filling the room with a soft glow. With a steel base and stem and a die-cast aluminum body, this floor lamp is stylish, yet sturdy, exemplifying the marriage of form and function that is characteristic of Italian design.
Artemide has a 3-word design philosophy, "the human light," that has guided them since their 1960 start in Milan, Italy. Artemides task lamps--like the Tizio (1972) and the Tolomeo (1987)--are long-standing icons of modern Italian lighting. Working with an exceptional, evolving group of designers and architects, Artemide lighting has been able to broadly innovate with high tech materials, organic forms and advanced LED technology.
