Mini USB Male Connector - Solder Type
Use this Mini USB connector to make your own Mini-USB smart phone charging / data cable, repair an existing cable, or make a custom adapter. It works best with 24AWG wire and smaller, but people with good soldering skills may be able to solder 22AWG wire to it (probably for power only).
The connector is simple to solder to with solder pads for all 5 USB connector pins. It comes in 4 pieces - the top shell, bottom shell, strain relief and connector body with solder pins. It goes together easy and looks like just like a factory installed end when finished.
This is a great connector to use if you are building a custom wiring harness in your vehicle for charging your smart phone or vehicle GPS system. It is superior to other connectors on the market because this one is actually possible to solder to with standard tools!
