TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
Please read this document carefully.
This document contains Rentwise Sdn. Bhd’s Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter referred to as "Terms and Conditions of Sale". It contains important information about your rights, obligations, limitations, disclaimer, exclusions and other information which will be important for you to know when you purchase products from Rentwise Sdn. Bhd. If you do not agree with the terms contain in this document, please do not proceed to order the products.
1. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions of Sale
1.1 These Terms and Conditions of Sale apply to your purchase of products and/or services and support sold in Malaysia by Rentwise Sdn. Bhd. Once a purchase is made, you are deemed to have agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions of Sale, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws.
2. Applicable Agreements
2.1 This Terms and Conditions of Sale constitute the entire agreement between you and Rentwise Sdn. Bhd. relating to your purchases from Rentwise Sdn. Bhd. Rentwise Sdn. Bhd. shall not be liable under, or bound by, other agreements, representations or arrangement relating to your purchases except as expressly stated in writing by both purchaser and Rentwise Sdn. Bhd.
3. Exclusion of Conditions and Warranties
3.1 Rentwise products are term as remanufactured IT equipment. Remanufactured IT products of Rentwise is fully restored to a like new condition both functionally and cosmetically using a standardize industrial process ensuring a good quality product with warranty except the original manufacturing defects.
3.2 Rentwise Sdn. Bhd. shall not in any way be liable either in contract, tort or otherwise for loss injury or damage howsoever and whenever sustained by you or any other person by reason of any defect deficiency and or malfunction of any Equipment whether such defect deficiency and or malfunction be latent or apparent on examination and Rentwise Sdn. Bhd. shall not be liable to indemnify you in respect of any claim made against you by a third party for any such loss injury or damage.
3.3. All products from Rentwise are subjected to quality checks in accordance with Rentwise standard before the product is delivered out to customers.
4. Acceptance of Orders and Payment
4.1 All orders are subjected to acceptance by Rentwise Sdn. Bhd.
4.2 Upon placing an order you are bound to the terms and conditions of this document. Once an order has been placed by you and upon acceptance by Rentwise Sdn. Bhd. the order shall be non-cancelable unless agreed by both parties.
4.3 Where handling, transport or shipping charges are indicated, the charges should be paid before the products are process for delivery.
4.4 All consumption based taxes or levies that are required under government laws or regulations, the taxes and levies should be paid before the products are process for delivery.
5. Modification of Terms and Conditions of Sale
5.1 Rentwise Sdn. Bhd. may revise these terms and conditions of sale at any time without notice.
6.1 Any provision of a clause in this Terms and Conditions of Sale prohibited by or rendered unlawful or unenforceable under any applicable law actually applied by any court of competent jurisdiction shall, to the extent required by such law, be severed from the Terms and Conditions of Sale and rendered ineffective so far as is possible without modifying the remaining provisions of this Terms and Conditions of Sale. Where, however, the provisions of any such applicable law may be waived, they are hereby waived by the parties hereto to the full extent permitted by such law to the end that the Terms and Conditions of Sale shall be a valid and binding contract, enforceable in accordance with its terms.
7. GOVERNING LAW
7.1 The validity, enforceability, construction and interpretation of this Terms and Conditions of Sale shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia and each of the parties hereto submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Malaysia.
8.1 Customer in need of technical assistance can call 1800-880 688 or log a case via Rentwise’s support portal. The support portal is accessible via rentwise.freshservice.com.
8.2 Rentwise provides a 1 year warranty on hardware faults from the date of purchase provided hardware faults are not a result by damages caused by improper use and or deliberate/accidental damage.
8.3 There are two types of Break-Fix warranty packages that customers can purchase:
a) Business Bundle Package (BBP) provides for Onsite Warranty Support. Where first level troubleshooting is unable to provide a resolution to the hardware fault, Rentwise would send an engineer on-site to perform troubleshooting at customer’s location to remedy the issue.
b) Home Bundle Package (HBP) provides for a Carry-In Warranty. Where first level troubleshooting is unable to provide a resolution to the hardware fault the customer is able to carry in the units for troubleshooting to remedy the issue.
9 Service Level Arrangement
9.1 Rentwise Helpdesk would assist customers in performing first level troubleshooting to either resolve the issue or determine if there is a hardware failure. Rentwise Helpdesk would then be able to decide sending an engineer for onsite troubleshooting provided the BBP bundled has been purchased upfront along with the item requiring support.
9.2 In the event the issue is not resolvable via first level troubleshooting with Rentwise helpdesk, an engineer (Onsite Warranty Support Package) would be dispatched to the location of the customer to perform onsite troubleshooting and repair.
9.3 Support hours are between 8.30am to 5.30pm from Monday to Friday and not available on weekends and all observed Malaysian public holidays applicable for the state of Selangor .
9.4 Resolution time is at a best effort basis, depending on the complexity of the issue and availability of replacements.
8.5 Rentwise only provides break-fix support for hardware. Where found to be software related, software support is on a best effort basis only and chargeable.
10. Troubleshooting Process
10.1. Customer contacts Rentwise Helpdesk at 1800-880 688 or opens a ticket via the portal - rentwise.freshservice.com.
10.2. During the phone call, Rentwise Helpdesk personnel will require the item (s) Asset Tag no.
10.3. Rentwise Helpdesk personnel will refer to customer’s warranty period and entitlement.
10.4. Once the product is verified as having a valid warranty, Rentwise Helpdesk personnel will proceed to a series of troubleshooting steps to diagnose the issue.
10.5. When requested, the Customer should assist in identifying error messages and when the error occurred.
10.6. The Customer shall share with Rentwise Helpdesk Personnel the steps that have already been attempted to solve the problem prior to contacting Rentwise Helpdesk.
10.7. Rentwise Helpdesk Personnel may ask that the Customer opens the product case, removes hardware, manipulate software or perform other diagnostics activities. Failure to assist in or allow remote diagnosis may result in a service fee for onsite diagnostic services.
10.8 If the Customer does not wish to, or is unable to perform the first level troubleshooting steps with Rentwise Helpdesk Personnel, the customer might opt for a customer-paid onsite diagnosis service at RM120 per visit.
10.9 If the product is outside its applicable hardware warranty period, there would be no warranty nor service being given.
11. Warranty Period for Batteries
11.1 The warranty period for batteries shall be for a period of one year from the date of delivery. This warranty shall not be applicable if the batteries were damaged or rendered not usable due to the negligence of the Customer while the Goods/Equipment are in the possession of the Customer.
