The Osram 64623 (EVA) 100 Watt 12 Volt light bulb is primarily used in projectors, medical lighting, microscopes lighting and ophthalmic uses.
The 64623 Halogen Bulb is sometimes referred to as "HLX 64623" which means that the bulb has Zenophot gas which replaces the krypton gas that is normally in most halogen light bulbs. This is considered by many customers to produce brighter light.
HLX XENOPHOT™ Technology for Improved Performance
The HLX identifies lamps that employ XENOPHOT™ technology, an innovation first introduced by OSRAM. In XENOPHOT lamps, krypton—the normal fill gas used in halogen lamps—is replaced with xenon gas. The xenon reduces the rate of tungsten vaporization and allows for a higher filament temperature.
