    The Seagull 4A-109 is the flagship of Seagull 4A series twin-lens reflex camera (TLR) type of camera with two objective lenses of the same focal length. One of the lenses is the photographic objective or "taking lens" (the lens that takes the picture), while the other is used for the viewfinder system, which is usually viewed from above at waist level. The Seagull 4A series TLRs take 120 film and expose 12 pictures in 6×6cm format. Seagull is a well-known TLR manufacturers in China and 4A line is a Chinese TLR patterned according to older ones, especially the Rolleiflex in 1968 and it’s still being manufactured today, the latest being the 4A-109. As a cheaper alternative, the 4A produces images and quality that can be at par with Rolleiflex’s. This camera is perfect for lomagraphists because it offers full manual controls on the aperture and shutter speed settings with old Soviet LOMO TLRs look.
     
    The 4A-109 featured higher shutter speed 1/500 and produced images of slightly higher contrast than the 4A-105, although the performance of the "old" lens was by no means disappointing. The 4A-109 cameras provides hot-shoe mount which support speeds up to 1/300, and feature a PC-sync connector, cable release socket, and 10-sec self-timer. The 4A-107 is equipped with a shutter release lock.
