Nunchaku is a martial art weapon of the kobudo weapons set and consists of two sticks connected at their ends with a short chain or rope. The nunchaku were made popular in the West mostly using by Bruce Lee in a movie scene and also from Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles. The origin of the nunchaku is a matter of controversy and debate. Both the geographical point of origin and its original function are not agreed upon. However, nunchaku is also considered Karate's deadliest fighting sticks. This many be due to its low effectives when used against the staff or other long- reach weapons, such as sword. In contrast, one who was skilled with nunchaku could easily defeat his opponents who were armed with knives.
