How to Open an Online Lelong Store?

Step 1: Register?as member

1. Personal name: Upload your MyKad copy & utilities bill header. Click here to see verification check-list
2. Corporate name: Upload director's MyKad copy, utilities bill header &?Borang D?/?Borang 9.
3. Applicants might need to submit additional document if requested before store activation.
   

Step 2: Pay RM298 to subscribe store

1. Make sure you have at least RM298 in your iAccount. If not, you can top up either with credit cards or Maybank2u.com into your iAccount.

Step 3: Wait for team to verify your detail

1. Lelong staff will evaluate form that submitted by applicants and contact applicants for verifications.
2. For incomplete submission or applications, lelong will contact applicants via email.

Step 4: Activate store and post item for sale

1. Back to your member page, activate your store with the link "Activate store for RM298" or click on Open Store under the Store tab.
2. Decorate?your store with a catchy title, colourful themes and personalized logo.
3. Post your items online.

Step 5: Congratulations!! Your store is now ready for operation.

1. What's a Lelong member's store?
It is an Instant Storefront for professional seller to sell their items in volume.

2. How do buyers pay me?
You must have either a personal banking account or company account, but preferable it comes with internet banking facilities, such as maybank2u, or e-banking. Most of our buyers are paying via internet bank.

3. Can I accept credit cards payment?
We don't have this facility at the moment; however, we don't stop you from arranging it your own.

4. What's the benefit to own a store?
You will have a storefront with your own sub-domain (URL) with your own store logo, more advance functions and special fees rebate.

5. Who can open a store?
Malaysian owning a valid MyKad can open a store, however, we will always required other documents in order for us to validate your identity.
(Please take note, we always have the right not to offer to anyone without giving you any reason)

6. Why I need to open a store?
To show you a professional seller, serious in trading online & the most important is it gives more confidence to buyers.

7. What's the difference between store member & normal member?
Store members are entitled to enjoy more benefits than normal member.

8. How much does it cost to open a store?
The annual fee is RM 298, as lowest as just RM0.80 per day to own a store.

9. How to open a store?
Top-up your i-account at least RM 298 with credit cards or Maybank2u, then logged in to your account & click the store activation link. Click here for more.

10. Am I need to submit any document for registration?
Yes, we need at least 1 MyKad, and 1 or more supporting documents, such as utilities bills or your bank statement header. Please attach a copy of your utilities bill. (Please take note we no more accepting old MyKad)
For registration with company account, apart from MyKad for person in charge, please attach company Form 9 or Form D.

11. I know nothing about programming language, so how should I set-up a store?
You do not need to learn any programming language, as long as you know how to use MS Word, then you can easily post items to sell & manage your store.

12. I know nothing about web design, so how should I design my store?
We have provide our ready store templates design for your store to choose from. It's easy and simple, no coding / html knowledge are required.

13. Am I need to send you my product catalog & will Lelong help me to post it?
This is a Do-It-Yourself store. Seller must post all items by themselves. However, should you face any problem, please call/email us for assistance.

14. How many items that I can post to sell?
There are 500 postings for store member in lelong, as long as they are unique and no repetition of similar items. However, you can email to feedback@lelong.com.my if you need more information.

15. Any other saving for me if I am a store member?
Yes, you will have 20% rebate in all fees related services such as posting, featured, banner.

16. Is there a pick-up service for store member?
There is no pick-up service for store member for the time being, but we are working on this service. For now, we expect sellers to engage their own courier services.

17. Will Lelong help me to promote my store?
Yes, to give higher exposure to member's store, Lelong will displayed member's store randomly at front page store member's section.

18. Since you say I can post up to 500 items, so will posting become messy and hard to manage?
Don't worry; you will have an easy-to-use auction management web application - MyDraft, to help you manage your store.

19. Will we be treated or excluded from certain Lelong rules and regulations?
No, for you to own a store and have credentials, we have higher expectations from you then other normal members. Thus, we and buyers do expect more from you as a store member. You have to follow our rules strictly and display your credibility online in all your transaction.

20. Am I need to register a company before I open a Store?
We have 2 types of store membership, PERSONAL Account or COMPANY Account. It depends on seller payment bank account, if you would like to pay to your personal bank account, you can use personal account, if it's required to pay to your company bank account, you may then need to register with COMPANY Account.

21. Am I need to register a domain name before opening the Store?
No. Every store member will have a unique sub-domain (URL) which is based on your USERID, eg: http://yourUSERID.lelong.my or http://yourUSERID.pretty.my if you are selling ladies products.

Terms and Conditions to Operate Lelong Online Store:

1. For Existing MyKad Verified Members :
If your MyKad Verification are done 3 months ago, you need to re-submit your supporting documents upon activating your store.
Please view the sample here.

2. For New Member Who Just Sign up an Account. Upon subcription to our Store :
You must go thru our MyKad verification process before your store can be activated. Learn how to proceed after you activate your store.
The verification is free for store member who have not done so.
Question and Answer for MyKad Verification. We may request other document if necessary before your store are activated.

The following apply to all lelong store operators.

3. All store owner must adhere to Policies, Guidelines, Rules and Regulations, of Lelong.com.my

4. Payment

1. If payment are made to your company, You must provide either borang D or borang 9 together with owner information, apart from your Mykad and other supporting document.
2. If payment are being made to any other name apart from the registered name in lelong, you must then submit their MyKad and contact information as well, we will include their name once we authenticate them.
   We have a very strict rules on who can accept payment from our buyers, pls take note we will suspend any account who violate this rules without hesitation :

5. Technical Glitches, Services Unavailable, Suspension and Store Closure

1. We reserved the right not to accept your store subscription or closed your store if found the items and/or services your provide is in-appropriate in our own discretion or your posting violate our policies, guidelines, rules and regulations.
2. We are not responsible and will not compensate for any loss of your business / profit / transaction or time spent in your auction, item for sale or any posting you done in lelong, due to your account are being termporary suspended from trading, item being removed from this site or account being closed down for good.
3. Shall there be any technical glitches in which our servers or service is temporary unavailable, you agreed that we are not responsible for any lost of your business during the period of service unavailability.
